An Update on the Fords

This past week Peyton had croup and went in for breathing treatments & steroids on Monday & again on Wednesday. It was awful to have him sick, but at the same time kind of nice to have his scream weakened. Dyllan over the weekend put his tooth through his bottom lip. He was a little too excited to finish his movie and did a seal dive onto his bed right into his foot board. His poor little mouth was bloody and he cried for a minute and then was fine. Earlier in the week a lady tried to squeeze past us at Costco in a hurry to get a sample and smashed Dyllan's little finger between the carts. It swelled up huge, I thought it was broken, but I think she smashed a blood vessel or something because it has stayed black & blue, but he can bend it and he says it doesn't hurt. Ice Cream was all it took to make that one all better. I can't believe how tough little boys are and how often they really do get hurt. This is a weekly routine for us now with two toddler boys. They sure are a lot of fun though, nothing makes me happier.

On Sunday the boys got to wear their new church attire and they looked so stinkin cute! They were being missionators is what Dyllan says. He loves the Missionators, I love that he makes them sound like super heroes because they really are!

Saturday we went to see Santa at 10 and there was no line! They got to go right over and talk to him and sit on his lap. Dyllan told him exactly what he wanted, a Buzz Lightyear. They both sat and listened to him and neither of them cried at all which really surprised me!

We had our pictures taken this weekend for our Christmas card & just to update the family pictures around the house. Here are a bunch of our favorites. Sorry, there were a lot of favorites. They were taken on just off of the walking trail in our neighborhood. It was lots of fun, cold, but still lots of fun!!

Just the two of us

I love my wonderful husband!!

They are so stinkin cute!!

All he wanted to do was stand right there, so we finally just let him. He loves to be the center of attention.

We used this one for our Christmas card.

Family Night this Week

For family night this week we bought two little trees and nativity ornaments for the boys. As we taught them about each part of the nativity they put the piece on the tree. They learned a lot and were so cute! Right after we were done though the ornaments were all off and they just played with them. Just before family night Dyllan said the cutest thing! We were eating spaghetti for dinner and after he took a bite he goes "mmm, that's good, thanks mom" I almost fell off of my chair. He seems so much older than he is sometimes. One more funny quote from the other day. We were sitting in the pediatrician's office for Peyton's appt. and Dyllan sat on one of those little chairs grabbed a book and sat there with his legs crossed. All of the sudden he puts the book down in his lap, looks up at me and says "what that toot doin in mys bum?" I started laughing and said I don't know what that toot was doin in your bum. It was so dang funny. Anyway, here are some pictures from family night.

Haircuts!

Justin really wanted to grow the boys hair out so we let it go for a while, but it just got too long for me. They look so much better with short hair! It always just looks messy when it's long. I was going to let Dyllan's go because it's kind of curly & doesn't look as bad, but when he saw Peyton's cut he wanted me to cut his too. Yeah! They look so cute! The last picture was after I was done cleaning up all the hair they were sitting in the laundry basket watching The Brady Bunch! They are so much fun to watch grow up, I love that they are so close!

I love his little chicklet teeth!

He looks way older with his hair short, I can't believe he's turning three!

They are best friends!

Halloween Week

Monday we decided to carve our pumpkins for family night. Dyllan was so excited to help & had a blast ripping out the seeds & throwing the guts all over. Peyton on the other hand thought it was gross & didn't want anything to do with it. Having the boys help carve was so fun! Don't get me wrong it was fun to carve pumpkins when it was just the two of us, but the kids get so excited & it makes it so much better.

Wednesday was playgroup & we had a Halloween parade, played games, decorated cookies & had balloons & bubbles to keep the kids entertained. Some of the moms offered to make cookies & frosting, it was great to have them volunteer & not have to spend money on any of it. We ended up with 27 toddlers, it was so much fun! The boys had fun running around the gym with their friends & eating lots of frosting & candy. Dyllan was eating the frosting out of the can, he didn't really care to use it for decorating.
On Friday we got the boys ready & took them out trick-or-treating & they lasted about an hour and a half, which was longer than I thought they would. Dyllan loved every minute of it & walked the whole way. Peyton would not put his candy in his bag until he got another one, he would go to trade his candy at every door. The weather was great, we didn't have to bundle them up this year, you could actually see their costumes! They both ended up with lots of yummy candy & special treats from their older friends in the neighborhood. We have the greatest neighbors!
(they look so bored in this pic)
At the end of the night (8:00) the boys were all exhausted & out for the night? Yeah right, it was a nap for t he boys & Justin slept most the rest of the night. It was such a fun night, I love spending time as a family.

We had so much fun this week at the Pumpkin Patch! Dyllan & Peyton love going to playgroup & seeing all of their friends. Playgroup is my calling in the ward, it is one of the Enrichment groups, so this week we went to the Mabey's Pumpkin Patch. Dyllan was so excited when I told him what we would be doing. Karrie Pederson does playgroup with me & we bought little toys & candy & put them in bags to hide out in the patch. Most of the kids are 2 & 3, so we obviously didn't really hide them, we just kind of tossed them off the side of the rows of Pumpkins. Before they went to find their goody bags we had our friend Karen read a Halloween story to the kids & had cookies & juice for all the moms & kids that came. I was so happy with the turnout, we had 19 walking children that came and a couple of babies, so there were a lot of people that showed up.They were all so grateful & all of the kids had a blast, it was fun. Here are a few of the pictures I took of the boys & their friends.

We are so sad that the Bees are done playing! We spent a lot of our summer at the Bees games with the mortuary's season tickets. The boys absolutely love going to the games. Dyllan is obsessed with watching Bobby Wilson, he carries around his card & pretends to be him. He runs around the house yelling "Bobby Wilson, Number One!!" If you have ever played with him I'm sure you have had to get down on your knees like a catcher & be "the guy". If you aren't in the right stance, he will let you know & make you fix it before you can play ball with him. Our seats were right past the first base line where the pitchers warm up so Bobby was always right there so Dyllan could watch him. Peyton on the other hand is more in love with the mascot & the food. The players were so cute to Peyton & Dyllan.
They get balls at every game! Thank you to Bobby Wilson, Freddy Sandoval, Henry Bonilla & Jim Eppard for being so nice to the Boys!

The boys are obsessed with the Bee!

Waiting for the fireworks to start

The boys love the games!
Can't wait for next season!

Park City

We stayed up in Park City a couple of weeks ago & went to take some pictures in the little overgrown cemetary. Wierd, I know, but what do you expect from the Soffes? It was really pretty though. I finally got the pictures back from my dad, so here they are!

If you can't tell, he is harrassing me as usual.

Peyton & Jennifer, my boys love her & Butch (Brandon)

All the kids but Josh, only one more Summer without him though.
My kids don't love holding still for pictures, especially Peyton.

Pulling Dyllan's "Cool Face" Peyton hasn't quite got it down yet.

4 Years, can you believe it?

Our little crew, I feel really out numbered but I wouldn't trade them for anything!
