The kids did great trick-or-treating, they loved going to their friends houses most and hated the houses that were decked out with flashing lights, bloody walk ways and scary decorations. It was a great night though and we were so happy we went out when we did, just as we were finishing it started to get really cold. I think we were out for about two hours before we went home to dump the loot and eat candy while we danced around the living room. It was a great Halloween! Now we are looking forward to tomorrow when baby girl Ford will arrive!

Since Izabelle can't write thank yous like the boys can, we did this as a substitute for her birthday thank yous and made them into cards. Thank you to everyone who came over, called and thought about her on her birthday!

My baby girl turned two on the 20th and is so grown up! She loves to dance and sing and do anything extremely girlie, but at the same time likes to play ball & cars and "yegos" with her brothers. She loves books and iphones and can navigate mine as well as I can. She loves snacks and treats and fruit, especially apples. I love her long curly hair and spunky attitude (most of the time). She loves her family and likes it best when all of us are with her. If one of us is missing she asks where they are until they get back. She is excited, as of right now, for her baby sister to come. I love that she has to be the last one to tell me that she loves me at night, Peyton will yell I love you mom and before he can even finish Izabelle says "love you mom" until I tell her that I love her too. I love how obsessed she is with the temple. I love to see the temple is her favorite song and if she sees angel Moroni from any distance in the car she instantly yells "I see the temple" until everyone responds that yes, we see the temple too. I hope she never loses that love for the temple. She most definitely has her daddy wrapped around her tiny little fingers and knows exactly how to get what she wants from him. I'm pretty sure he loves it as much as she does. Everyday she listens for the chimes on the door and yells "daddy home" and goes running to him with open arms. Izabelle is hilarious and brings so much fun into our family. She pretty much dominates us all with her personality and we all get told what to do all day. She will be a strong woman for sure.

Peyton in Preschool!

Peyton started preschool last week at Bingham High School! I thought for sure that he was going to have a hard time leaving and being by himself, but he proved me wrong, very wrong. Last Tuesday as soon as we pulled into the parking lot he started to unbuckle and tell me goodbye. I made him wait at least until we got to the curb so he could walk on the sidewalk up to the gate. It made it really easy for me to send another one to school and at this point I needed easy. I thought that maybe after his first day or two he wouldn't want to go anymore, but wrong again, he is excited to go everyday. I guess my little boy isn't so little anymore and is perfectly fine being independent just like his big brother, which is a good thing with Baby #4 coming anytime in the next couple weeks. We have had to run on a pretty tight schedule and it will only get more difficult once she's here. It's great though, it just means that my little family is growing up. I just wish time would slow

down a bit instead of continually getting faster. I can't believe I have 2 in school!

Walter in Kindiegarten

Dyllan started kindergarten today and was so excited! I thought he might get a little bit nervous when it was time to go but I was wrong, he couldn't wait to leave this morning. Justin went to work early so that he would be able to leave for a minute and walk with us to school. I think it made D feel like he was the luckiest kid there. He did such a great job, he ran over to his class and got in line without even hesitating. He did say goodbye to me this year at least. It makes it so easy when they are so independent. There was one mom there that sat at the playground sobbing after the kids went in. I can't imagine being that emotional about my kids going to school, but apparently it is really really hard for some people. Thanks for being so independent Walter!! I hope Peyton and the girls will be as excited to go to school as you are!

I was so happy that he was excited to go to school, it sure makes it easy for me to send him and know that he is confident and happy to be learning and making new friends.

Seven years ago today I made the best decision of my life starting a family with the most incredible man I know. Justin is always trying to please me even when I'm mean and cranky. He is so patient with me and my quirks. I love that he teases me and loves to have fun and spend time with our family. I love that our boys get so excited to see him and look forward to his day off even if there is nothing planned. I love that our daughter has him wrapped around her finger and that she lights up when he comes around. I can't wait to watch this next little girl do the same thing. I love that we have set goals and have been able to accomplish them together. I truly could not ask for a more perfect match for me, I could not live without him. In seven short years we have had so many triumphs and struggles and I would not change any of them because they have taught us so much and made us so strong. I know that we could get through anything together. He has worked so hard at school and work to take care of our family and allow me to be a full time mother and wife and I appreciate him so much for that. I know that he would do anything for our family and I couldn't ask for more. I am the luckiest girl in the world to have this incredibly handsome man to be my best friend for eternity. I love you Justin!!

A few weeks ago it was finally warm enough for me to go out and take the Christmas lights down. These three thought it was great that they could yell at me the whole time and throw toys out the window so that I could go fetch them. They looked pretty cute standing there all together so I grabbed the camera. However, getting them all to look at me and smile at the same time seems to be impossible so these were the best we could get.

I guess 2 out of 3 isn't too bad.

Izabelle is getting so grown up! She is almost 18 months old now and talking up a storm. She is so full of sass and attitude! Some days it's cute and some days it wears me out, but with those big blue eyes and cute little face she's hard to get mad at.

Dyllan had a carnival at his school this week and got to play lots of games, eat popcorn & cotton candy, win toys and get his face painted! He was so excited to go to school that day and even more excited to jump in the car and tell us about it.

and a dinosaur. We also registered for Kindergarten this week which made Justin & I feel really old! I wish they could all stay little forever!

Yay for warm weather! My mom & sister invited us to go to Wheeler & Apple Spice Junction with them today and we all had lots of fun being outside for a while.

My little Miss Independent was so excited about the animals, especially all the ducks running around.

We found out the other day that she really likes tractors too, she kept trying to run away from the park because there was a backhoe digging a foundation and she really wanted to go see it. I guess the boys have had a little bit of influence on her.

This little stinker loves to climb! While I make dinner she will climb up the back of the couch and lean over the other side of the counter and yell at me. It's the same MAAAAM that she is always yelling at me and it is adorable (most of the time). So I got out the camera and she posed so nicely for me.

Justin's Birthday

Since Justin's birthday fell on a Sunday this year, we went out to dinner the night before to celebrate. It was just the two of us and it was so nice, we don't go on very many dates without the kids. THE BIG 28!

We go to my parents for dinner most Sundays so my mom made him a cake and we sang to him for his actual birthday.

Boom was happy to help her dad blow out the candles!

Happy birthday to the most handsome man alive! He is my best friend and I love him more than anything. He works so hard for our family and I am so proud of him for accomplishing so much in school and work. The families he works with love him, he is so good at what he does. I can't wait for graduation in April so that at least mortuary science school will be done and maybe we can spend a little more time together without books and studying flash cards. He is such a great man and I am so lucky to have him as my companion forever! Happy birthday Sweets!

Just a Lazy Day

Sometimes it's nice to just have a lazy day at home with nothing you have to do and nowhere you have to go. This was one of those days so I took the camera out to snap some quick pictures. Peyton must have been sleeping again.

My cute little girl is getting too big too fast! She's watching a movie on our little portable dvd player. I could seriously just squeeze her all day long, so happy she's my little girlfriend!

Petey, getting into everything! If the boys can't reach something they will stack things and climb to get to it instead of asking for help. I think my kids have a little too much independence in them sometimes. I guess it's better than being dependent on me for everything.

I put the legos up high in the playroom so that they wouldn't get them out anymore until Izabelle is older and won't choke on them. They don't love that idea so they tried to get them themselves.

The kids love going to movies. It was pretty good, at least the parts that I got to see, Izabelle can't sit still so I chased her down the isle back & forth. When we got home Peyton and Izabelle were exhausted. I guess the excitement of D's birthday wore them out.

After the kiddos took a nap the family all came over for cake, cookies & ice cream. The family is getting so big that we barely fit everyone in the house!

Happy birthday Dyllan, D-train, Kronk, Walter, D! You are the smartest 5 year old I know. You act like you are 15 and like to hang out with the old people and actually get along with them really well. You are so good with your little sister and are working hard to be the good example for your brother who looks up to you so much. I love how sensitive you are and how much you care about everyone around you. Thank you for all that you teach me everyday. I love you very much and am so thankful that I get to be your mom!

Dyllan had his spotlight for preschool just before his birthday. He got to decorate a poster of all of his favorite things. He chose everything on his poster by himself and glued it where he wanted it. He was really excited to do it but got a little nervous when he was presenting it to his class. He actually taught me something while I was cutting out whatever he wanted though, he found the temples Ensign and said he wanted to put the temple on his poster because he loves the temple. I asked him if he was sure he wanted to put a temple on it because for some reason I questioned putting a temple on a school assignment. He said it doesn't matter and to just put it on because he loves the temple. I thought about it that night and realized how stupid I was for even questioning it. We need to be more proud of who we are what we believe in. Thanks to my kids who remind me of that. I love them. He also put his family, batman wii, Josh, TJ, Heather, Spider Man, Shawn White, BYU & Utah, transformers, a lego man, a Reese's wrapper, the Jazz, a picture of him playing baseball, a picture of him at the farm, Toy Story & he made a book to glue on it because he loves books. He did a great job and we love him so much!

New Years

We had a pretty fun New Years. We always just hang out as a family and eat candy and dance around. I love it.

I was amazed at how well the boys were sharing everything and being so nice to each other! It made for a really nice Christmas morning.

She would not stop climbing on the dollhouse! I kept getting her down and telling her no and she kept climbing back up and jumping up and down yelling MAAM, MAAAM until i paid attention and got her down again. She is exhausting sometimes but we adore her.

Justin got me a new Camera for Christmas and I got it a little early. I read the entire book that evening and these pictures are from messing around with the settings and trying to get things the way I wanted them.

Murray Park Leaves

At the first of November we were getting presents for the boys friend birthday parties at Big Lots in Murray and decided to grab some .89 cent hamburgers from Wendy's and have a picnic at the park. The boys loved playing on the playground. After we ate and played for a while we walked around and played in the leaves that were everywhere!

There is nothing better than just watching your kids giggle and have fun playing together!

Then there is this gorgeous little girl, I love her to pieces!

She had fun in the leaves too, her brothers covered her with them and they were all over in her hair.

Peter's giggle is contagious, he's so much fun.

D got me good with the big handfuls, I picked leaves out of my hair all day.

This is from a different day, but Izabelle got this enormous dog pillow like the pillow pets and loves to take naps on it. I can't get enough of this adorable face, especially when it is sleeping and not screaming at me.

Halloween was freezing this year and I didn't get any pictures before we went out so these are from after we went trick or treating and the kids were exhausted!Her tiny profile and tiny piggies!

Peyton was the "Red Iron Man". He's so cute and has some pretty sweet moves.

Dyllan was the "Grey Iron Man". As you can see he knows exactly what Iron Man does in the movie. (and he's worn his socks outside without shoes one too many times)

They were so exhausted! They are still adorable though, I am the luckiest mom ever!

The boys were so excited to be the Iron Mans. I love that they want to be the same thing every year. They always have their choice of whatever they want and always choose the same costume in different colors. We had fun trick or treating until the rain hit with the cold wind. They got lots of candy and were on a sugar high the rest of the night!

Happy Birthday To our Boom!

October 20th Izabelle turned 1!

She got her own cake from nothing bundt cakes since their cake is so yummy.

She doesn't love being messy, so she took her time and tried to eat it with just two fingers.

I didn't get any pictures in the morning for some reason, but I think her favorite present from us was the stroller and babies!

Her brothers were happy to help her open presents. I think this one was the little people doll house.

She got these cute pink boots with an outfit from my sister and wanted them on before I put her jammies on that night. She is definitely all girl, she loves boots and clothes and babies!

The next morning we went out with the stroller and babies and she had so much fun pushing them down the side walk back and forth and taking them in and out, she is so much fun to watch!

She is getting so big, kids really grow way too fast.

She knew she wasn't supposed to so she tried to sneak away with it.

These boots are made for walking and that's just what she does...all day. She is so busy all the time and running after her brothers.

Dyllan is such a good helper. Izabelle kept running her stroller into the grass and he would help her get it back on the cement so she could keep pushing her baby.

She is one spoiled girl, she has two protective loving brothers that will do anything to make her happy.

Happy birthday Izabelle! You bring so much happiness into our family. You are my little girlfriend and I hope you always will be. I love that you want me all the time and follow me around mimicking everything I do. You are so full of attitude, I love it. You are hilarious and dramatic and beautiful, you make everyday an adventure. We love you so so much!

In the spring we had the Utah Funeral Directors Association Convention again at the ESA and had dinner and walked around the booths and then took the kids down on the court to shoot and play around. It was a lot of fun. Justin & I went to the game the next night and took Izabelle, she hated it. Baseball started a few months ago so we have been enjoying the Bees games. Bobby even made it back for a game while he was on the injured list and we got his jersey. We had a great spring!

Justin tried to win us some cash with the half court shot. It hit the rim.

At the end of March my little brother came home from his mission and wanted to have a sleepover with the boys. They had so much fun!

Hawaii June 2010

We went to Kauai on June 11th through the 18th with my family.I was so stressed that the plane ride would be terrible with three little kids, but they did awesome! I was so happy that they enjoyed it and no one screamed. When we got there we went to Costco to get food for the week and eat dinner then back to the timeshare to get settled. On Saturday we went to a farmer's market at the KCC and had some yummy food. Then we headed to glass beach to get some more glass & see the cemetery. We stopped by a little market on the way back and got some more homemade food and jewelry.

Sunday we spent the day at church and driving up in the mountains stopping at the look outs.

This was at the top of the mountain, it was so beautiful!

Peyton was terrified of the waves because they took my shoe & Dyllan's shoes so he stayed back on the grass most of the time.

Justin helped Dyllan catch a wave and ride it in! I couldn't resist taking pictures of my gorgeous husband.

The kids all loved the pool. I think we went swimming in it almost every day.

Izabelle would splash like crazy and giggle, she loved soaking herself.

They were filming Pirates 4 while we were there and the cast was staying at the Marriott too. I stopped Gibbs (Kevin McNally) and his daughter and talked to them a bit. They were so nice and were at the pool everyday. Barbosa was at the pool getting fried with his wife almost everyday too. It was kind of fun to see the cast walking around. The makeup crew really liked Izabelle and caught Justin and talked to him for quite a while. They lived in parts of Justin's mission so they had some things in common and asked us about our parenting and morals. They had obviously run into missionaries before because when we said we were Mormon they offered us a drink and laughed. They were really nice and I think it made Justin a little homesick for England.

On Monday afternoon we went on a ferry ride up the Wailua to Fern Grotto.
Izabelle had terrible allergies in Kauai so that is why her face is red and swollen in most of the pictures. She was still happy though and kept a smile on her itchy little face!

After Fern Grotto it was on to the Smith family Luau. Before dinner we rode the trolley around the grounds and then walked the grounds until it was time to watch the pig come out of the ground and eat our yummy dinner. After dinner there was some fun entertainment from all of the Polynesian countries.

On Tuesday we went to a beach in Wailua so that the big boys could boogie board and the kids could play in the sand. They had a blast. Thanks to Dr. Duane Harris, a great allergist, Izabelle got medicine and felt much better this day and the puffy itchy face went away!

Dyllan got buried up to his neck again. You can't even tell he is under the bucket!

They didn't love that I made them stop playing to take a picture, this was the best one out of about ten. Justin on the other hand noticed I was taking his picture and was even nice enough to pose! I love him!

On Wednesday it was kids stay while parents play day. Justin & I went boating out on the Wailua River with our driver Kenny and his dog. We had a blast! Neither of us had been boating in about ten years but we didn't have any trouble remembering how and nobody got injured! It was so much fun, the water was glass and the scenery was amazing. Now Justin is asking for a boat again though.

We were done boating by the afternoon so we went back and got the kids and went with the family to a plantation for a train ride tour.

We got to get out and feed the pigs their dinner in the middle of the ride.

I think we wore them out everyday, they definitely slept better there.

The last day before we went to the airport we decided to spend the last hour or so on the beach just enjoying the ocean and perfect weather.

The grass and beach are right past the pool, it is the perfect setup on a little inlet.

We can't wait until we can go back. Kauai is so beautiful, we love it! We were all sad to leave, but had so much fun while we were there!

My dad was going to take pictures of the kids the other day and got really busy at work so we went over to the lake and took our own just in case work didn't slow down. It was a nice day and so nice to be outisde with the kids for a while. We have the best neighborhood for kids! My dad ended up taking more in the afternoon so I will put them all in the next post. I can't get enough of these cute little faces. They make everyday wonderful! I love them to pieces and kiss there faces all day long!

Dyllan turned 4 on January 7th! He is getting so big! Gampa Kurnette (the current name for my dad) took Dyllan & Peyton to McDonald's for breakfast in the morning and when they got home D got to open his presents. I love shopping for his birthday because of all the after Christmas sales! If you know me you know how much I love getting a steal. After he opened his presennts we all went to a movie and then hurried home to get ready for the family to come over. We definitely had a very full house with everyone over but it was lots of fun and the kids loved it!

So keeping three kids busy all winter has kept me from keeping up on the blog. Hopefully I can catch up in the next little while. Until then, here are some pictures from Christmas and the month of December. Christmas was great! We spent the morning at home opening presents and playing the wii. The boys had lots of fun!

2 Weeks!

Izabelle is already two weeks old! She had her appt. today and is doing great. She had to have her umbilical cord frozen for the second time but other than that she has grown an inch and weighs 6 lbs. 6.5 oz. which is great since she was down to 5lbs 11 oz. last week. She is such a quiet peaceful baby. We love her to pieces! Her brothers want to hold her and kiss her all day and so do her mom and dad. She is such an easy baby! Dyllan & Peyton are adjusting really well. They wrestle and play together all day and are SO LOUD!!! It starts to drive Justin & I kind of crazy but it doesn't bother Izabelle, she doesn't even budge. I think she must have gotten used to their yelling before she was born. Here are a few pictures from the past few days.

She has always had a double chin and some cheeks. I think that is where all of her weight is.

Izabelle was born on Tuesday at 5:39. We went in in the morning and got hooked up on the pit and IV's. I got to a 6 pretty quick and then stopped for a few hours because she was posterior and didn't want to turn. I flipped from side to side trying to get her to move, but she waited until she was good and ready to turn and once she did she came right away. Everything went really well and she was 6lbs 4 oz. 19.5 inches long. She has a ton of dark hair, none of the pictures really show it, but it is down her neck and over her ears, it is so cute. I hope she doesn't lose it all. With all of the new rules we had 1-2 visitors at a time that night, then Justin went home to sleep with the boys. He came back in the morning to spend the day with me & Izabelle until we could be discharged. We went to get the boys from my parents so they could meet their sister and we could all go home. It has been an adjustment the past few days, but the boys adore her and have done really well. We are hoping she won't have anymore jaundice problems after tomorrow's appointment and we can get rid of the lights and not have any other extra Dr. appts. We have had lots of great help from the family. I think the boys are loving that they get to do fun things while I sit at home with the baby. Justin has been fantastic, he has been putting the boys to bed and helping out with everything. We are so happy that UPS is over!! Things are great and we are loving having Izabelle in our family. She is perfect!

I won't get to see my boys until I come home and they won't get to see there baby sister! The hospitals won't let anyone under 14 come to visit and only two visitors at a time, including my husband. Ridiculous, huh? Dumb Swine Flu...

The Pumpkin Patch

I did playgroup at the pumpkin patch again this year. The kids always love it and we got a huge turn out! This year we had 27 kids show up. It was a lot of fun, thanks Mabeys!

The boys remembered that I hid toys and treats in the patch last year and knew what to expect this year. They were so anxious to find their loot!

A Day Off With Dad
On Justin's day off last week we had to go to Costco and Justin ran them through the store while they laughed and squealed through the store. They have so much fun with him. We will be seeing a lot more of him now too, he's done with UPS!!! We could not be happier. His schedule was 2AM - 6PM plus he's taking 7 classes over the internet. Now he has just one job, which hasn't been the case since we got married, and will have a more regular schedule!

Bobby Wilson

For those of you who have no clue who Bobby Wilson is, he is the catcher for the SL Bees and my kids favorite friend. He left just before the season ended to play for the Angels again. He is now on the roster in the playoffs! We are so happy for him but hope that he comes back to SL next year! These pictures are from July when we went down & watched the fireworks with Bobby & Lori. Dyllan was so excited he ran right over as soon as Bobby came out of the dugout and Bobby picked him up. He is so great with the boys, we really appreciate him. We wish him luck with the rest of the playoffs!

So Long Sweet Summer

We have had a fun summer this year! It has has been full of baseball games,

(They are watching Bobby Wilson, he is right between them in the field, I will have to post about that next)

going to the zoo,

hanging out at the pool,

riding bikes and enjoying being outside.

Some other things we've been up to these past few weeks have been, getting all the rest and relaxing we can get before another baby is here,

and watching lots of what my kids call the Jesus movies. We decided to get the living scripture dvds for the kids and I am very surprised at how much they love watching them and understand. They get to watch one every night before they go to bed. I highly recommend them for families.

Peyton has become a lover of shoes. He gets in my closet and walks around in my heels. This particular day he was sword fighting with Dyllan in my heels. Little boys are so funny!

He was cleaning all the marker off of his hands with his tongue.

Justin had put the boys in time out while I was doing my visiting teaching and left them in there a while. When I got home I could hear them playing together up in their room so Justin & I went to see what they were doing. Peyton had gotten the markers and colored all over both of their clothes, the pictures, bed, books, pretty much everything in the room while dyllan did puzzles and read books. They are really close, but so different in their personalities!

Well, sort of, we traded in the truck and got ourselves an IS 250. I think Justin is in love, he babies the car. Three car seats fit in the back of the cars so we don't have to be minivan/suv owners quite yet.

If you are looking to get a steal on a nice car, I highly recommend CJ Prestman. They have branded titles, but are in perfect condition. We have never had any problems with their cars.

We are ready and waiting for baby number three to join our family. She will be joining us on the 20th of October, that is if we can't get her here before that!

5 Years Ago...

Five years ago today I made the best decision of my life, to marry my best friend. Who would have thought that these two kids would have (almost) three kids five years later? We met when Justin was friends with my brother in High School. He came around the house a lot and used to take me & my friends places when Brandon refused. I always liked him and used to tell my mom I was going to marry him. I was only 12. I started writing him about 5 months after he left on his mission to England and we wrote back and forth every week for the rest of his mission. He got home in March of 2004 and we spent pretty much every day together after that. I turned 18 on June 2, graduated High School on June 3rd and we got engaged on June 5th. We were married 2 1/2 months later on August 17, 2004 in the Salt Lake Temple. It has been an incredible 5 years. I won't lie, it has been hard at times but I would not trade the hard times for anything. They have made us work together and become stronger.

Just a couple things I love about him :

He is the hardest working person I know. Once he decides he is going to do something he not only accomplishes it, he makes sure he is the best at whatever it is because he won't accept anything less of himself. I love that about him.

He is a big kid. He loves to tease and harass me about everything. Especially if I am wrong and he can prove it, he loves that. He loves to play sports even though he doesn't have very much time to and exercise as much as possible. He still gets the football itch when the weather turns cool. He is a die hard BYU fan and I am a U fan. It's fun to watch the games together and argue back and forth about who is better.

He has me completely "whooped"...still. I don't always love this because he can get me to do whatever he wants, but I love being in love with him and still getting excited to see him everyday.

He loves to play with our kids. Sometimes he plays a little rough and teaches them things I don't want him to, but I love watching him play with them and seeing their little faces get so excited when they hear him coming home each evening. They definitely love their daddy. I can't wait to see him with our little girl in October. I know she is going to melt him and be spoiled, he already bought her all new stuff.

He has taught me so much about the gospel. I love that he served a mission and has been able to teach me so many things that I never understood. I always seem to have questions and he knows how to answer them. He is a great example to me.

We have been growing up together for the past five years and I am so happy that I get to continue growing up with him and grow old together. He always puts up with me and tries to make me happy when I've had a bad day. He is definitely my other half, everything I could ask for. I love him more than I could ever express and feel so lucky to spend the eternities with such a great man. Happy Anniversary Justin, I love you!

We were watching the Buick Open and Dyllan got some golf stuff out and brought Justin the camera and told him to take pictures of him being Tiger Woods. I definitely have two little sports fanatics.

The boys beg to go outside and play all day long but lately it has been way too hot so we wait until the evenings when it starts to cool down a little bit. The other day we went out and Justin, being the big kid that he is, started a grass fight with the boys. They love the little bit of time they have to play with their dad in the evenings.

Another Fun Day

Today we decided to take a picnic to the lake. I thought I would be really ambitious and ride my bike with the boys in the trailer. It was 93 degrees and there are a lot of hills. I wanted to die by the time we got home, but it was fun while we were there! The beaches by our house are always packed so I took them out to the North part of the lake so we could be by ourselves and eat and play without all the masses of people. The boys ate and ran around for a while and then we took our shoes off and played in the water. They loved it! We live in the best neighborhood!

This Summer So Far...

We LOVE going to the Bees games. Our boys love Bobby Wilson and he loves them. He comes and talks to them before every game that we go to, gives them balls and waves at them throughout the game.

The Fourth of July parade. We go to Murray's parade every year and have McDonald's breakfast and get lots of candy and for some reason we love going. I've been going for 23 years and Justin has been coming for the past 5. To let you know how much we love it, we took Peyton two years ago. He was born on the 2nd in the evening and we got out of the hospital early and went at 6:30 Am on the 4th. My brother made my sister in law bring her twins this year and they were about four weeks old. Tradition.

GIRL!!!

Here is one of her profile shots.

Both of her hands were wide open. The boys always had fists in their ultrasounds. The technician said they usually do have them in fists so it was unusual to see them both wide open like that.

We are so excited to find out that we are having a girl!! Dyllan was happy to hear that he was right, Cinderella is in mom's belly. He would have refused to believe otherwise anyway. Peyton on the other hand did not even want to see the baby. Hopefully it will be easier for him to adjust to having a baby sister so he can still be the baby boy for a few more years. Justin and I are very excited also! Justin just kept smiling and on the way out said that he could feel his hair going grey and falling out already. I am excited to shop! There is so much more girl stuff to choose from than boys! Other than that everything looks really good with her and we are both still healthy!

Vacation 2009

Getting there. Bedtime Stories got us through a lot of driving!

We got there around 10:30 AM so we had plenty of time to spend at the beach on Monday. Dyllan got himself a sweet sand hand print and this is the face he pulled when I told him to look cool.

This is a really pretty place to go and supposedly has great sunsets when it isn't cloudy.

The seals were fun to watch as they came up and beached themselves for the night.

Tuesday we spent the day at Disneyland. We weren't planning on going up to Anaheim, but the company that we book our vacation sent us a City Pass instead of the 3 in 1 San Diego pass. We didn't mind though, it gave us a lot of options and we all had a blast!
The Buzz Lightyear ride never had a line so we rode that quite a bit.

Dyllan was nervous at first but had fun driving the Autopia cars.

It's a small world was perfect, the boys loved the music and riding in the boat.

The highlight of Disneyland, Mickey! The boys were so excited to go see him!

As we were walking through the house I felt someone rubbing my back and when I turned around it was Mickey!? He grabbed Dyllan by the hand and took him on a personal tour of his house! D loved every minute of it and took off with Mickey without even looking back, which if you know my kids you know is unusual.

Peyton wanted to see Minnie too, so we waited in line to get a picture with her and go through her house too. He is my little ladies man.

We even ran into Goofy walking through toon town.

Dyllan kept watching this roller coaster go around and drop down and told Justin every time that he didn't want to go on that and Justin kept telling him they were seeing if Mickey was over there. When they got to the front of the line he stuck him on and if you can't tell he was terrified at first. By the time he got off he loved it.

The boys wanted to see Mickey one more time before we left so we went back to Disneyland and we rode Pirates and played a while longer. I was really surprised at how much they were able to ride and play being so small. I think Justin liked it as much as the boys, it had been about 20 years since he had been to Disneyland and he didn't remember anything so it was a lot of fun for the whole family!

Wednesday we spent the day at Sea World.

We watched them train the dolphins and later watched the show that they put on.

They would have sat at the Aquarium and watched the fish and turtles all day!

Petting the sting rays was fun and Dyllan even worked up the courage to feel them. I'm sure Peyton would have grabbed them, but his arms aren't long enough. I liked that Sea World had hands on things for everyone to do.

We went to Shamu's show and this is where we sat. Shamu comes right up on that tan cement right behind us.

I wish we had a picture after because we were soaked. Peyton didn't love that part or the fact that the giant whale was right in his face. The show was incredible though. It's amazing what the trainers are able to do with those enormous animals.

There is a Sesame Street area at Sea World with rides and a things for the kids to do. Dyllan had fun going on all the rides with his dad while I held sleeping Peyton. He was nervous before every ride at Sea World, Disneyland and the Zoo but then loved them after he had gone. I think the roller coaster traumatized him.

His mean mom stuck him in the splash area and got him nice and wet.

We got to see Elmo while we were there. Peyton would have loved to see Elmo but he would not wake up for anything at this point.

Dyllan loved the bounce area, he went a couple of times before we finished the day at Sea World.

Thursday we spent the day at San Diego Zoo.

Our last night in San Diego playing until we were exhausted.

Friday morning and afternoon we spent our time at the beach trying to wear the boys out before the long drive back to St. George.

Dad dug a big hole for the boys to play in and Dyllan let us bury him up to his neck! I thought he would flip out not being able to move anything but he thought it was great!

Justin has wanted to live here for a long time. I think he was out there just dreaming about being here all the time. Then he took the boys out to let them dream too. I don't think they would need much convincing.

This is Justin in 40 years when we finally make it out to San Diego. Maybe we'll buy a second home there someday and live there all winter. I'll make sure he doesn't have the fur all over his body like this guy did though.

The trip was fantastic and we can't wait to go back & do it all again! Next year will be a little different though with three!

We broke up all the driving by staying at my parents house in St. George. For some reason we didn't take any pictures while we were there, but the boys had so much fun swimming and playing golf and basketball. It was a great way to break up the time in the car. We also got to see The Vanderwerffs and hit the outlet malls. It was such a nice vacation and now it is nice to be home.

One problem, it's $59.99 plus shipping. That's a bit ridiculous for one bib, one t-shirt, one hat, two pair of socks and a pair of pants with a few artificial roses if you ask me.

Here is my take on the same idea. There are 5 Carter onsies and two pair of socks plus I got a cute tin to put them in and realistic looking roses. It looks a little different, but I paid under $20 to make mine.

Easter was so much fun! We had an egg hunt and dinner at my Grandma Rose's house on Saturday afternoon and the boys had so much fun. It started raining and D was freezing, but they had a good time with all of my little cousins. On Sunday we went to Stake Conference. I was so wxcited to put them in their new suits! Dyllan thought he was pretty sweet and Peyton was well, Peyton. That evening we went to my Grandma Bullough's house for dinner and her Jelly Bean hunt. The boys had fun there and played with my two cousins who are still little. Next year my parents will have five grand kids, so they get to start their own traditions! D and Peyt have been the lonely two for a while so it will be fun to have cousins on the Soffe side!

What we've been up to

Here are a few things we've been up to these past few weeks. We went to the Utah Funeral Directors Association Convention at the Energy Solutions Arena, played outside the one day that it was warm enough, and Prom 2009. We also went to the doctor and got to have an ultrasound and see the baby at 10 weeks but I don't have the scanner hooked up to the laptop so I can't put the ultrasound pictures on yet. Everything looks good though, we're both healthy.

It was just sitting out in the hall where the Jazz come out to walk onto the court. I can't remember how much it was, but it was ridiculous.

Dyllan was pretty good at dribbling, he is really coordinated for a three year old.

The boys had to go with us to 80% of the convention booths before they could go down and play on the court so by this time they were dying to just play.

Peyton fell asleep and Dyllan decided to put a rug on him as a blanket, put the pillow between his head and the bed and stuck an empty pack of fruit snacks there for him. What a nice brother!

Last week there was one day that was warm enough for the boys to go out and play! They had so much fun riding their bikes and scooters around all afternoon.

Dyllan's first attempt at riding his scooter and he did really well.

I helped my sister get ready for Prom two weeks ago.

I did her hair & make-up and helped her pick out her fun dress! It was a lot of fun and she looked FABULOUS!

These two are inseparable as you can see. They do fight sometimes, but for the most part they are playing together and getting into trouble together. They even have the same friends. I love watching them while they play and stick up for each other. I just wonder how they are going to react to a new baby in October! It will be interesting. If it is another boy I have a feeling they will gang up on him forever. If it's a girl though I think they will be really cute with her. Dyllan says it is a girl and Peyton doesn't want mom to have a baby. He is definitely a mommy's boy. Either way we are excited to be adding number 5 to our family!

So Dyllan is totally potty trained now! He goes in by himself, dumps and washes out his potty! It is the greatest thing! When he has to poop he runs in there and yells at me that he doesn't need my help and to stay out. One down, one to go. Peyton wants to do exactly what his brother is doing, so for now he sits on the potty all the time but not to go, just to sit. Hopefully we will have no kids in diapers pretty soon! That would be so nice!

He's official!

So TJ went into the MTC on Wednesday. He will be leaving for San Jose, California in a couple weeks. He was a little nervous, but very excited. We are so happy for him and know that he will be a great missionary. We are grateful for his willingness to serve and for setting an example for our boys! We love you T!

I can't believe I have a three year old! He is such a fun smart boy to have around. We love him so much! He is such a good big brother to Peyton. He teaches me something new everyday. An Update on the Fords

This past week Peyton had croup and went in for breathing treatments & steroids on Monday & again on Wednesday. It was awful to have him sick, but at the same time kind of nice to have his scream weakened. Dyllan over the weekend put his tooth through his bottom lip. He was a little too excited to finish his movie and did a seal dive onto his bed right into his foot board. His poor little mouth was bloody and he cried for a minute and then was fine. Earlier in the week a lady tried to squeeze past us at Costco in a hurry to get a sample and smashed Dyllan's little finger between the carts. It swelled up huge, I thought it was broken, but I think she smashed a blood vessel or something because it has stayed black & blue, but he can bend it and he says it doesn't hurt. Ice Cream was all it took to make that one all better. I can't believe how tough little boys are and how often they really do get hurt. This is a weekly routine for us now with two toddler boys. They sure are a lot of fun though, nothing makes me happier.

On Sunday the boys got to wear their new church attire and they looked so stinkin cute! They were being missionators is what Dyllan says. He loves the Missionators, I love that he makes them sound like super heroes because they really are!

Saturday we went to see Santa at 10 and there was no line! They got to go right over and talk to him and sit on his lap. Dyllan told him exactly what he wanted, a Buzz Lightyear. They both sat and listened to him and neither of them cried at all which really surprised me!
